The team works closely across product and hardware groups to ensure secure, reliable integration and adoption of security solutions across the product portfolio. You will join a compact, collaborative engineering team focused on engineering rigor, high-quality documentation, and secure-by-design firmware.

What You’ll Do

You will design, implement, test, and support firmware for trusted execution environments and roots of trust used across hardware products. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Develop secure firmware and libraries for specialized execution environments within roots of trust.
  • Apply and promote secure coding practices, peer review workflows, and automated testing.
  • Provide integration and debugging support to product teams across diverse hardware platforms.
  • Produce clear technical designs, specifications, and developer-facing documentation for reuse.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to accelerate delivery while preserving quality.
  • Drive self-directed contributions and work cross-functionally to meet internal and regulatory security requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus at least 2 years of relevant experience — or a Master’s degree with no relevant experience.
  • Experience with firmware development for embedded systems and trusted execution environments.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and familiarity with hardware-based security technologies.
  • Hands-on experience debugging firmware and resolving hardware–software integration issues.
  • Experience documenting technical designs and code specifications for complex systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product and hardware teams to drive alignment and adoption.
  • Experience with Root of Trust (RoT) technologies and cryptographic operations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to engineering rigor: peer review, automated testing, and CI workflows.
  • Comfortable working independently and owning specialized firmware modules.
  • Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in a software development workflow.
