Program Overview

This two-year Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP) accelerates early-career growth through hands-on software engineering rotations. Participants complete four six-month rotations across software design, development, validation, and product lifecycle teams. Rotation sites include Peachtree Corners, GA; Tucker, GA; Roebuck, SC; Hingham, MA; Bellefontaine, OH; Grand Prairie, TX; Broken Arrow, OK; Juarez, Mexico; Chihuahua, Mexico; and Monterrey, Mexico. The program begins in early July 2027 and, upon successful completion, transitions participants into a targeted full-time R&D Software Engineer role based in Peachtree Corners, GA.

Relocation assistance is provided if relocation is greater than 50 miles from your permanent address. Domestic and international relocation and travel will be required as part of the program.


What You’ll Do

  • Participate in four, six-month rotational assignments across key software engineering functions (software design, development, validation, and product lifecycle management).
  • Create and enhance smart, connected software solutions for circuit protection, power distribution, and monitoring systems.
  • Solve complex engineering challenges through creative problem-solving and iterative design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, product management, quality, and manufacturing) to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to software architecture, coding, testing, and documentation; engage in code reviews and validation activities.
  • Gain mentorship and exposure to senior leaders while building a professional network across business areas.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering completed within one academic year of the program start date.
  • Available to start full-time in early July 2027.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  • Willing and able to relocate domestically and internationally for each rotation; travel as required by the program.
  • Growth mindset, strong learning agility, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential through activities, projects, or roles showing initiative and teamwork.
  • Programming experience in one or more of: C/C++, Python, and Java.
  • Experience or familiarity with JavaScript/Node.js/React, JSON, and/or HTML/CSS.
  • Exposure to MATLAB/SIMULINK and embedded software; familiarity with software development practices for embedded systems or IoT.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to electrical power distribution, power management, energy systems, or smart grid technologies.
  • Preferred GPA: 3.0 or higher.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Base salary range: $85,000 – $88,000 per year.
  • Employment type: Full-time, two-year leadership development program with transition to a targeted full-time role upon successful completion.
  • Relocation assistance provided if relocating more than 50 miles from your permanent address.
  • No company sponsorship for work authorization will be provided; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
