What You’ll Do
Join the Grok Connectors engineering team at our confidential client to design, build, and operate the integrations that let AI agents act on real data and actions inside the tools people use every day. You'll own features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, and customer rollout.
- Architect and implement connector integrations (OAuth sign-in, token handling, tool schemas, retries, rate-limit handling).
- Build and maintain connectors for major providers (Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar & Drive, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive & SharePoint, GitHub, Slack, finance APIs, and third‑party MCP plugins).
- Improve reliability and scale across hundreds of millions of tool calls via monitoring, retries, batching, and root-cause fixes.
- Implement secure approval flows and UI cards (web, desktop, mobile) so agents act only with proper user consent.
- Work directly with enterprise customers and partners on onboarding, security reviews, and deployment configuration for single-tenant/enterprise environments.
- Collaborate closely with product, QA, support, and security teams to ship production-quality integrations and address incidents.
Sample Projects
- Build an automated triage pipeline that aggregates user reports, groups by root cause, estimates user impact, files issues, and triggers first-pass coding agents.
- Redesign OAuth token refresh logic so concurrent requests never consume a single-use refresh token and accidentally disconnect working connectors.
- Reduce hundreds of thousands of daily tool-call errors by generating tool definitions from vendor API specs, fixing argument mappings, and adding batch tools.
- Ship Gmail and Outlook flows for drafts, replies, and attachments with approval cards to avoid unsanctioned outbound activity.
- Launch partner connectors end-to-end: debug OAuth metadata, roll out, and measure adoption and reliability metrics.
- Harden connectors for enterprise deployments: custom CA handling, Entra Conditional Access, admin controls, audit logging, and compliance workflows for financial institutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years building production web services or integrations (backend and client-facing components).
- Strong practical experience with OAuth 2.0 and OIDC, and familiarity with major provider APIs (Google Workspace, Microsoft Graph, etc.).
- Solid TypeScript experience and comfort shipping across backend services and client UI in a large codebase.
- Demonstrated focus on reliability: concurrency control, retries, rate limits, observability, and fixing root causes.
- Data-driven: use logs and metrics to prioritize work and measure impact before and after changes.
- Experience working directly with customers, partners, QA, and support; able to explain security posture and answer review questions clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with MCP protocol, Rust, Kubernetes, and multi-cloud deployments.
- Background in enterprise security and compliance (ZDR, audit logs, Conditional Access).
- Experience building LLM-powered automation or agents.
- Prior work on large-scale connector ecosystems or developer/platform tooling.
Interview Process (High-level)
If your background is a match, the process typically includes 2–3 short technical interviews followed by an onsite or virtual full-day session with a small project, technical discussion, and team conversations.
