About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring an experienced Full-stack Software Engineer to build and maintain modern web applications that power AI-enabled healthcare and life-sciences workflows. You will work on both frontend (React/Next.js) and backend (Python) systems, integrating LLMs and other AI services to deliver reliable, performant user experiences. This role reports to engineering leadership and partners closely with Product and UX teams.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain responsive, production-grade web applications using React and Next.js.
- Create reusable UI components and translate UX designs into scalable, accessible interfaces.
- Design, implement, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python.
- Integrate LLMs, prompt engineering, and other AI model workflows into user-facing features.
- Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and technical documentation.
- Improve performance, reliability, and observability through testing, monitoring, and CI/CD.
- Own features end-to-end — from design through deployment and post-release support.
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building production applications.
- Strong frontend skills with React and Next.js; proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Backend experience building services and APIs with Python (or equivalent).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and relational databases (SQL).
- Hands-on exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, or model integrations in production.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in healthcare or HIPAA-regulated environments.
- Distributed team experience and strong asynchronous communication skills.
- Node.js experience or prior full-stack ownership.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $110,000 - $135,000 (where you land depends on skills, experience, and location).
