Position Overview

This role is for a Full Stack Software Engineer on an Experimentation Platform team supporting a confidential client. You’ll help design, build, and operate a high-volume, production-grade experimentation stack used by product engineers, data scientists, ML engineers and non-technical users. Work includes backend services, SDKs, and a React-based Decision Portal UI. This position is based in Los Angeles, CA and is expected to follow a hybrid work model.

What You’ll Do

• Work across backend services, SDKs, and the Decision Portal UI used by thousands of internal users.
• Own features end-to-end: API design, data models, backend logic, and React front-end components.
• Collaborate closely with Product Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Data Infrastructure teams.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, and correctness under high volume and strict operational constraints.
• Integrate new capabilities including LLM-powered tools and advanced statistical/causal inference methods.
• Contribute to testing practices (unit, integration, end-to-end), documentation, and operational runbooks.

What We’re Looking For

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years building web applications end-to-end with TypeScript and React on the frontend.
• Strong CS fundamentals and experience with object-oriented programming.
• Experience designing and consuming backend APIs (REST and/or gRPC).
• Good judgement choosing appropriate data storage (relational, key-value, search, data warehouse).
• Backend experience in one or more of: Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
• Familiarity with testing across the stack and producing reliable, maintainable code.
• Product-oriented mindset for platform services and user-facing tooling.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) throughout the development lifecycle.

Nice to have:

• Experience building internal tools, admin consoles, or developer platforms.
• Familiarity with experimentation configuration, feature flagging, and A/B testing systems.
• Experience with Big Data/analytics tools (Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, Spark, etc.).
• Background in analytics, statistics, or machine learning.
• Experience operating in cloud environments such as AWS.

Location & Work Model

This opening is for Los Angeles, CA and follows a hybrid in-office / remote model. Candidates must be able to work in or near Los Angeles on the schedule required by the team.

Compensation & Benefits

The national base pay range for this position within the United States is:

• $130,600—$192,000 USD (base salary). Actual pay is determined by job-related factors including skills, experience, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized by work location.

In addition to base salary, compensation may include equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that may include: medical, dental, and vision plans; 401(k) with employer match; paid parental leave; paid time off; paid sick leave in compliance with applicable laws; mental health resources; and other wellness and commuter benefits. Benefits and time-off details are provided by the hiring organization.
