How We Work

Confidential Client uses modern engineering practices and expects engineers to own outcomes from design through production:

  • Agile development in two‑week sprints
  • Automated testing, code reviews, and clean architecture
  • Modern toolchain: React, Java (Spring Boot), GitLab, Docker, CI/CD
  • Emphasis on mentorship, continuous learning, and growth toward technical leadership

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain full‑stack features: responsive UIs in React and backend services in Java/Spring Boot.
  • Design, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate across frontend, backend, and database layers to deliver end‑to‑end customer value.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks across the stack.
  • Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews to maintain high quality.
  • Use modern, AI-assisted development practices where appropriate to increase productivity.
  • Partner with Product and Design to translate requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Share knowledge in technical discussions and design reviews.
  • Continuously improve system performance and codebase maintainability.
  • Grow toward broader technical ownership across the platform.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • 2+ years of professional full‑stack development experience
  • Proficiency with JavaScript (ES6+), React, and common frontend libraries (Redux, React Router)
  • Backend experience in Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate, or similar)
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and ORMs
  • Strong HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design skills
  • Experience using Git and CI/CD in a collaborative environment
  • Proactive, detail‑oriented, and committed to shipping high‑quality software

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range (US): $110,000 – $140,000 per year, plus opportunity for an annual discretionary bonus
  • Stock options granted at hire and periodically based on performance
  • Comprehensive benefits package
