What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Application Product Security team. You’ll help improve Developer Experience (DevXP) by designing and building security accelerators, tooling, and integrations that enable development teams to deliver secure applications efficiently.
- Contribute to the design and development of security accelerators and developer-facing products used across development lines
- Build new security tools and applications with an emphasis on developer experience
- Maintain and support existing application security assets and tools
- Integrate security tooling and automation into CI/CD pipelines while keeping workflows intuitive for developers
- Automate onboarding and integrations to security platforms
- Help grow the development skills and capabilities of the Application Product Security team
- Continuously learn cloud-native platforms and modern development practices (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, debug, document, and deploy software following engineering and security best practices
- Apply DevSecOps practices and tooling through the software delivery lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver secure features
- Proactively review project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Demonstrate continuous improvement and share knowledge across the team

Preferred / Ideal Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience or exposure in some of the following areas:
- Java and the Java ecosystem
- Front-end or scripting languages (Angular, JavaScript, Python)
- Source code management tools and workflows (Git, GitHub, pull requests, code reviews)
- CI/CD tooling (Concourse, Jenkins, Harness, or similar)
- Unit testing and test automation
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- API development and cloud-native development experience
- Understanding of the full Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)
Qualifications
- Undergraduate studies in Computer Science, MIS, or related fields preferred. Equivalent technology experience or certificates accepted.
- Early-career opportunity: typically 1+ years of technology experience (entry-level/early career)
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, C++, Python, JavaScript)
- Ability to thrive in a team environment; insurance/financial services background is a plus
Work Location & Schedule
- This role is hybrid: in-office in Columbus, OH three days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays)
- Associates may have on-call responsibility after normal working hours and/or on weekends
Compensation & Benefits
The source job posting lists a national salary range and an expected starting range. For this role the expected starting salary range is:
- $60,900 – $91,300 (annual)
