What You’ll Do

Join the GenAI team for a confidential client to build, integrate, and stress-test production software that exercises frontier AI models end-to-end. You will work closely with the engineering manager and other engineers to deliver working code quickly on fast-moving projects.

• Build and ship full‑stack applications, services, and internal tools using one or more of: Python, Java, Rust, C#, C++, or TypeScript.
• Integrate pre‑release model APIs and surrounding scaffolding (tool interfaces, evaluation harnesses, telemetry).
• Diagnose, document, and report model and integration failure modes; translate engineering observations into clear written feedback for research teams.
• Prototype rapidly with limited up‑front specification and deliver incremental, production‑quality functionality.
• Maintain and advocate for code quality, consistent architecture, and up‑to‑date technical documentation.

What We’re Looking For

We encourage applications from candidates who meet the following experience and skills:

• 3+ years of professional experience building and shipping production software.
• Production experience in at least one of: Python, Java, Rust, C#, or C++, plus working proficiency in a second language.
• Hands‑on experience across the stack: backend services/APIs, a modern front‑end framework (React or equivalent), relational or document databases, and cloud deployment.
• Proven ability to ramp into unfamiliar codebases and deliver working code quickly.
• Strong written communication and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly.
• Demonstrable career progression and reliable availability to engage ~40 hours/week during standard weekday hours.
• Authorized to work in the United States (applicants must satisfy any applicable work‑authorization requirements).

Compensation & Hours

• Pay range: $50 — $65 per hour.
• Expected commitment: Full‑time effort (approximately 40 hours per week), weekdays.
• Work model: Telecommute / remote (role supports work remotely; engineering collaboration occurs during weekday hours).
