What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer – Fleet Mapping to contribute to an offline mapping initiative that supports scalable, high-definition semantic maps for autonomous driving. You will design, train, validate, and integrate models that detect semantic map elements and help automate mapping pipelines.

• Research, implement, and train machine learning models for semantic map element detection
• Curate, validate, and label datasets for training and model validation
• Integrate ML models into offboard mapping pipelines and lead automation of new mapping features
• Use ML infrastructure to accelerate model development and deployment
• Work closely with validation teams to design and execute model validation pipelines

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional C++ experience
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (experience with UDP preferred)
• Experience building or contributing to highly resilient distributed systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Employment type: Contract (Associate level)

Nice to Have

• Robotics or 3D computer vision experience
• Prior mapping experience (semantic mapping, HD maps, Lidar/point-cloud workflows)
• Experience working with ML infrastructure or large-scale data pipelines

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $80.00/hr - $85.00/hr (hourly). This range is provided in good faith and actual pay will depend on experience and other factors.
• Benefits (where eligible): medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, 401(k), life and disability insurance. Paid time off for salaried personnel; other pay/time-off rules may apply per contract and law.
