What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team working on electronic warfare (EW) systems and related signal-processing software. You’ll develop, test, and deploy software components used in real-world defense and signal systems, working primarily in Linux-based environments.

  • Develop and maintain software in C++ and Python for embedded and server-side systems
  • Create and maintain build, test, and deployment scripts using Bash and container tooling (Docker/Podman)
  • Implement features from requirements and design specifications; participate in design reviews
  • Write and execute system-level test plans, test procedures, and support system integration/testing
  • Support system installation and provide post-deployment technical assistance
  • Collaborate in a structured, multidisciplinary team environment with engineers across hardware, firmware, and systems
  • Contribute to documentation, requirements tracing, and verification activities

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • 0–3 years of software engineering/development experience using Git-based workflows
  • Proficiency with C++, Python, and Bash scripting in a Linux environment
  • Working knowledge of virtualization/containerization (Docker/Podman)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (accredited college/university)
  • Interest in and basic understanding of RF signals and radar technologies; math or physics background desired
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Security & clearance:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher
  • Clearance sponsorship may be available for the right candidate

Preferred / helpful skills:

  • Experience with embedded systems or real-time software
  • Familiarity with version control best practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to electronic warfare, radar, or signal-processing domains
