What You’ll Do

Start your software engineering career on a signals intelligence (SIGINT) mission team supporting Confidential Client at Fort Meade. In this entry-level role you will:

• Analyze user requirements and derive software design and performance requirements
• Design, implement, and extend software components and microservices
• Debug, test, and correct defects in existing systems
• Integrate software into new or modified systems and operating environments
• Write simple data queries and work with data repositories
• Automate routine Linux tasks using shell/Bash scripts
• Recommend improvements to documentation and development processes

Responsibilities

• Participate in team design and code reviews
• Develop clean, maintainable code and unit tests
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects in a secure, mission-focused environment
• Collaborate with engineers and government stakeholders to integrate software components
• Support CI/CD workflows and version control processes (Git) as part of the team

Minimum Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent OR 4 years of relevant software engineering experience
• Experience designing, coding, and debugging software in team settings (academic, internship, or professional)
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix command line and shell/Bash scripting
• Ability to write basic database queries
• Must be able to work onsite at Fort Meade, Savage, MD

Desired (Nice-to-Have) Skills

• Programming experience in C++, Python, or JavaScript
• Exposure to Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Interest or prior exposure to SIGINT or other Intelligence Community mission systems
• Familiarity with microservice design patterns and containerized deployments

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $125,000 per year (as provided by the client)
