What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a motivated entry‑level Software Engineer to join an engineering team developing embedded, UI, and internal software components for propulsion‑plant and related applications. You will contribute to design, implementation, testing, and maintenance across the software lifecycle while working in a collaborative Agile environment.
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded and application-level software components
- Implement and support user interfaces and internal tools as required
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests; participate in software testing and validation
- Troubleshoot, debug, and fix defects across embedded and higher-level software stacks
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineers to integrate software into deployed systems
- Document designs, reviews, and test results; follow configuration management practices
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; OR Master’s degree in a related field
- Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming (C++ preferred)
- Familiarity with embedded software concepts and basic programmable hardware
- Familiarity with modern development practices (Agile Scrum, CI/CD, version control)
- Demonstrated debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; see Additional Requirements below
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree specifically in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
- GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Hands‑on experience with C++ in embedded environments
- Experience with build pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and software validation
- Exposure to real‑time or safety‑critical software concepts
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $63,900 - $97,800 per year (range provided is a guideline; final pay depends on experience and qualifications)
