What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Software Engineers to contribute across the software development lifecycle on high-impact systems. In this role you will:
- Design, implement, test and maintain software across teams and platforms.
- Work on problems spanning cybersecurity, high-performance computing, data analytics, ML/AI, cryptography, and large-scale platform development.
- Use modern development practices (agile, CI/CD) and tools (containers, orchestration, cloud) to ship reliable systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust software designs.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, integration and deployment activities.
- Continuously learn new technologies and apply best practices for secure, high-performance systems.
Qualifications (Minimum)
Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications below to be considered:
- Degree requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering. Related degrees (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics) may be considered if transcript shows a concentration in foundational CS areas: algorithms; computer architecture (not network architecture); programming methodologies and languages; data structures; logic and computation; and advanced mathematics (calculus, discrete mathematics).
- Entry-level: Bachelor’s degree with no prior experience qualifies. An Associate’s degree plus 2 years of relevant hands-on software development experience may be considered.
- Relevant experience (coursework or hands-on) in software development processes: requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment and maintenance.

Preferred Skills & Technologies
The ideal candidate will have interest or experience in one or more of the following:
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems and computer architecture.
- Proficiency in languages such as C/C++, Python and Java.
- Experience or familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD.
- Exposure to web frameworks (Angular, React) and big-data tooling (PySpark, PIG).
- Knowledge or interest in cryptography (symmetric/asymmetric schemes, hashes, digital signatures) and secure communications (TLS/SSL).
- Familiarity with SIEM, IDS, vulnerability assessment tools, and security standards (NIST, OWASP, ISO 27001).
- Mathematical background (linear algebra, probability, discrete math, number theory) is a plus.
- Strong collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills.
