About the Role
Confidential Client is seeking an early-career Software Engineer (I/II) to join the Enterprise Applications team. In this role you will help design, build, enhance, and support internal and business-facing applications that enable critical operations across the organization. You will collaborate with engineers, business systems professionals, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable integrations, features, and support for enterprise platforms (including ERP and workflow systems).
What You’ll Do
- Develop, test, and maintain applications and software components across the stack.
- Implement new features, resolve defects, and improve application usability and performance.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with input from stakeholders.
- Build and maintain integrations between enterprise systems using REST APIs and other methods.
- Support enterprise platforms such as Odoo ERP, workflow systems, and other internal tools.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following development best practices.
- Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
- Create and maintain database queries, application logic, APIs, and user interfaces.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, sprint planning, and SDLC activities.
- Produce technical documentation for applications, integrations, and processes.
- Learn and apply engineering best practices for testing, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and contribute ideas to improve systems and workflows.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with Python.
- Familiarity with modern web development (React, Angular, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Basic knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL) and SQL.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and application integration concepts.
- Experience using Git or other version control systems.
- Solid understanding of testing, debugging, object-oriented programming, and source control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You’ll Stand Out
- Internship, academic, or professional experience building business or enterprise applications.
- Exposure to ERP, CRM, manufacturing, workflow automation, or other enterprise systems.
- Experience with Python + PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps concepts, and containerization (Docker).
- Prior work integrating multiple applications via APIs.
- Basic understanding of authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Experience in Agile or Scrum teams.
- Interest in how software supports manufacturing, supply chain, finance, engineering, and operations.
