What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an early-career Software Engineer to join a campus-hire program working on large-scale systems and consumer-facing products. As an engineer on a small, versatile team you will:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software across the stack
- Implement and optimize algorithms and data structures to meet performance and scalability targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate product requirements into technical solutions
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues; iterate on solutions with ownership from prototype to production
- Use modern development tools and AI productivity tools to streamline workflows and increase effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with data structures and algorithms from coursework, projects, internships, or open-source work
- Software development experience in one or more languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript
- Practical understanding of software engineering fundamentals (testing, debugging, version control)
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Experience in one or more of: web or mobile application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed systems, parallel systems, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, networking, accessibility, or security
- Experience building large-scale, high-availability systems
- Demonstrated ability to learn additional programming languages and technical domains quickly
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary (US): $123,000 - $174,000 per year
- Target bonus: 15% (typical, target-based)
