What You’ll Do

You’ll work on backend systems that power high-traffic e-commerce experiences. This is an Associate / New Grad level, full-time role on a remote team. Responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Profile and optimize performance across services, databases, and APIs.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineers to ship features.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to ensure reliable production delivery.

Qualifications (Required)

Candidates should demonstrate core backend engineering skills and systems thinking:

• Proficiency in one or more languages: Go, Python, or Java.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals.
• Experience (or coursework/projects) with distributed systems or microservices.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning basics.
• Comfortable using Git and working within CI/CD workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice-to-Have

These are not required but will help you succeed faster:

• Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Previous internship or project work on high-traffic systems or real-time services.
• Knowledge of observability tooling (metrics, tracing, logging).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
