What You’ll Do
As a Software Engineer supporting the Digital Workforce team for our confidential client in Des Moines, IA, you will design, build, and support automation and modern workplace solutions that help employees work more efficiently. You will work closely with engineers, analysts, UX, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions using Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot, and other automation/AI technologies.
- Build, test, deploy, and maintain automations, applications, and reporting solutions that improve business processes and productivity
- Implement solutions in Microsoft 365, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), and integrate with backend services and data stores
- Contribute to full software development lifecycle activities: requirements, architecture input, development, testing, deployment, and support
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues across on-prem, cloud-native, and hybrid environments
- Apply secure development practices, accessibility standards, and governance requirements
- Collaborate with UX to improve usability and accessibility of employee-facing tools
- Produce technical specifications and reusable components aligned with reference architecture
- Support mentoring, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field and at least 1 year of software development experience (or 5+ years equivalent experience)
- Hands-on experience or exposure to one or more programming stacks (TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, .NET, Java, C++, SQL)
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and use data to recommend and verify solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to adapt messaging for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile environment and able to manage changing priorities
- Eagerness to learn modern automation and AI tools with a continuous learning mindset
Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration or integrations
- Experience building Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps) or similar low-code platforms
- Familiarity with AI assistants such as Microsoft Copilot and responsible AI practices
- Experience mentoring or coaching teammates and working with distributed/global staffing models

- This is a full-time role based in Des Moines, IA (on-site or hybrid per client policy). Travel requirements, schedule, and remote options will be discussed during the interview process.
