Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a customer-facing Software Engineer (Deployed) to build and ship production-grade systems that integrate our AI agent platform into large enterprise environments. This role is based in New York, NY and is a full-time position focused on delivering reliable backend services, integrations, and deployable features that solve real customer workflows.

About the Team

The Agent Deployment team pairs technical customer engagement with engineering delivery. You’ll collaborate with Deployment Strategists and Deployment Success Managers to translate complex enterprise workflows into scalable, secure, production systems that become part of the core product.

Role Overview

Deployed Software Engineers work directly with customers to design, build, and scale features used in production. This is not a demo or prototype role — you will ship enterprise-grade code that impacts revenue and product direction. Expect high ownership, cross-functional communication with technical and business stakeholders, and a focus on long-term operational stability.

What You’ll Do

  • Ship core product: architect and deliver production-grade systems shaped by real customer needs.
  • Build platform services: design backend services, APIs, and integrations with reliability, security, and maintainability in mind.
  • Turn workflows into product: partner with customers to generalize high-value workflows into reusable product capabilities.
  • Own deployment lifecycle: lead deployments from architecture and integration through scaling and continuous improvement.

Example Recent Projects

  • Productionized a voice channel enabling enterprise users to interact with the AI agent at scale.
  • Integrated worker environments with on-premise Active Directory and Microsoft platforms via LDAP and PowerShell, and delivered self-serve deployment flows.
  • Extended workflow systems to ingest searchable knowledge from diverse sources, unlocking key enterprise deals.

What You’ll Need

  • Software engineering experience, preferably in product-focused or customer-facing roles.
  • Strong coding and system-design skills with experience shipping production systems and building external integrations.
  • High ownership and a track record of delivering impact in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Clear communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Startup experience as a founder or early engineer.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers or supporting complex technical sales cycles.
  • Experience building or deploying AI/LLM-powered features or agent-based systems.
  • Familiarity with IT, security, service management, or workflow automation.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation range (base): $200,000 - $325,000 per year.
  • Full-time employment.
  • Opportunities for rapid growth, high impact, and a collaborative, ownership-driven culture.
