What You’ll Do

Confidential Client’s Deep Learning Libraries team builds high-performance, production-grade software used across AI workloads. In this role you will:

  • Design and develop robust, scalable GPU-accelerated deep learning libraries using C++ and object-oriented design principles.
  • Define and maintain public APIs, implement features, and optimize performance for training and inference workloads.
  • Build and maintain automation for build, test, integration, and release processes for publicly distributed libraries.
  • Maintain and test environments for new hardware, OSes, and platforms using industry-standard tooling (e.g., Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, CMake, GitLab, Jira).
  • Participate in architecture discussions and collaborate closely with research and hardware teams on hardware-software co-design.
  • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and contribute to a culture of high-quality, well-tested software delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++.
  • Practical, pragmatic problem-solving and collaborative mindset.
  • Experience with source control and SCM tools (e.g., Git, Perforce) and build systems (e.g., Make, CMake, Bazel).
  • Passion for automation that improves developer productivity and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently: define goals, scope projects, and lead development efforts.
  • Graduation with a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Compute Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience) — this role is targeted to new college graduates (class of 2026).

Ways To Stand Out

  • Knowledge of CPU and/or GPU architecture; CUDA or OpenCL programming experience is strongly desired.
  • Experience optimizing high-performance computing workloads, linear algebra algorithms, and parallel implementations.
  • Familiarity with compiler optimizations and performance tuning.
  • Experience with code coverage, static analysis, or other quality tooling.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranges (dependent on level, location, and experience):
    • Level 2: $124,000 – $195,500 USD / year
    • Level 3: $152,000 – $241,500 USD / year
  • Eligible for equity and benefits in addition to base salary.
  • Final pay will be determined by the Confidential Client based on your location, experience, and internal pay equity.
