What You’ll Do

This opportunity is for a backend Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable, maintainable services using Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) and CQRS patterns on the Microsoft stack. You will work with architects and product owners to translate business domains into bounded contexts and resilient event-driven systems.

• Design and implement backend services and APIs using DDD and CQRS principles
• Implement event-driven and message-based integrations for microservices
• Write clean, testable code and own unit/integration tests
• Review peer code and contribute to team best practices for architecture and maintainability
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems
• Help design CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability for services
• Produce technical documentation and participate in sprint ceremonies
• Travel as needed (up to 25%) for stakeholder meetings and on-site collaboration

What We’re Looking For

We seek engineers with strong backend experience and practical, hands-on knowledge of DDD and CQRS working in production systems.

• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, design principles
• Hands-on experience with Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) and CQRS in real projects
• Proven backend development skills in the Microsoft ecosystem (.NET / C#) — Java or similar backend languages accepted
• Experience with Azure and cloud-native microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and Git-based workflows
• Solid object-oriented design skills and application of design patterns
• Effective communicator who collaborates well in hybrid teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Willingness to work hybrid from Irvine, CA with some remote flexibility

• Base salary: $120,000–$140,000 annually
• Performance bonus: Up to 15%

• Location: Irvine, CA (hybrid). This listing is for work primarily based in Irvine, CA.
