What You’ll Do

You will join a team modernizing a large intelligence database and building web-based tools used by analysts to model, manage, and access intelligence data. The work is frontend-forward (approximately 60% React/TypeScript) with integration to Java-based backend services and database modernization efforts (Oracle → MongoDB/NoSQL). This role emphasizes clean UI, reliable backend integration, and data migration support.

• Develop and enhance web applications using React and TypeScript
• Build and integrate Java backend services and APIs
• Support database modernization and migrations (Oracle to MongoDB/NoSQL)
• Collaborate with analysts and engineers to design intuitive data models and interfaces
• Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews and CI/CD practices
• Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and data consistency issues in production and staging environments

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree OR 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• 2+ years of professional experience as a software engineer or developer
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript for frontend development
• Experience developing backend services in Java
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, MongoDB, or other NoSQL systems

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Hands-on experience migrating or modernizing relational databases to NoSQL (Oracle → MongoDB)
• Familiarity with full-stack development patterns, RESTful APIs, and authentication flows
• Experience with modern frontend tooling (Webpack, Vite, ESLint, testing libraries)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud-hosted services
• Prior experience working on intelligence, defense, or high-security applications

Location, Clearance & Employment Details

• Location: Dayton, OH — this role requires onsite work five days per week.
• Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Compensation: $100,000–$115,000 USD per year (base salary)
