  • Collaborate with Privacy, Legal, Security, and Product teams to translate policy requirements (e.g., data subject requests, retention rules) into technical solutions
  • Build automated monitoring and alerting for privacy risks and data flows
  • Review system designs and code for privacy risks; perform threat modeling and risk assessments
  • Produce clear documentation, runbooks, and support remediation actions with engineering teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field — or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years building backend systems, APIs, or infrastructure in production

  • Strong debugging, code-review, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing privacy or security controls in large-scale web or e‑commerce environments
  • Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations (e.g., CCPA, CPRA, GDPR) and translating them into technical requirements
  • Background with privacy-preserving techniques (pseudonymization, differential privacy, secure computation)
  • Experience with observability tooling, logging/auditing pipelines, and data lineage tools
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent advanced technical experience
