Overview

Confidential Client is seeking entry-level Software Engineers to join teams focused on data software engineering and cloud platforms. In this role you'll help build, deploy, and support scalable data platforms and cloud services that power business applications, analytics, and engineering workflows. This is a hybrid position based in Bee Cave, TX.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to development, testing, deployment, and improvement of data and cloud services.
• Learn and apply operational-excellence practices (SLOs/SLOIs, monitoring, alerting, incident response).
• Collaborate with software, data, ML, and cloud engineers to translate user needs into technical solutions and self-service capabilities.
• Implement features and technical projects from design through testing, deployment, and support with guidance from senior engineers.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, design discussions, documentation, and retrospectives.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code to improve reliability, performance, cost efficiency, and usability.
• Gain experience with cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, observability, and production lifecycle management.
• Build knowledge of the tools, architectures, and data workflows that support the engineering ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field — or equivalent real-world experience.
• 0–2 years of software engineering experience, including internships, co-op placements, academic projects, or equivalent hands-on work.
• Foundational proficiency in at least one of: Java, C++, Go, or Python.
• Understanding of software-engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, testing, version control, and code review.
• Familiarity with developing or supporting services, applications, or data-processing systems.
• Exposure to at least one major public cloud provider (Azure, GCP, or AWS) through coursework, projects, or internships.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and learning orientation.
• Interest in contributing to reliable, scalable systems and supporting services in production environments.

Preferred / Competitive Advantages

• Familiarity with distributed systems, APIs, microservices, containers, or cloud-native development.
• Experience or exposure to deployment automation, monitoring, logging, metrics, or other observability practices.
• Academic, internship, or personal-project experience related to autonomous systems, robotics, machine learning, or large-scale data platforms.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $84,900 – $130,500 per year (good-faith estimate; final offer will vary based on factors relevant to the role and candidate location).
• Bonus potential: incentive pay programs tied to company, job level, and individual performance may apply.
