Role Overview

This full-time Software Engineer role focuses on backend services using modern C# and .NET within a high-performance, distributed systems environment that processes large volumes of data with demanding reliability and latency requirements. Engineers are trusted to influence architecture, design and product direction.

What You’ll Do

• Design, implement and maintain business-critical backend services using modern C# and .NET.
• Build and optimize distributed systems for high throughput and low latency.
• Participate across the full software lifecycle: architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment and production support.
• Collaborate closely with product, QA and other engineering teams to deliver robust, well-tested features.
• Drive technical decisions, perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and implement long-term fixes and performance improvements.

Qualifications

Required

• Strong software engineering fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, object‑oriented design and system design.
• Proven experience with modern C# and .NET for backend development (or equivalent experience in another language with strong interest to cross-train).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, fault tolerance and performance tuning.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills; a pragmatic, quality-focused approach.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); a strong academic record is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (Green Card). No visa sponsorship available.

Preferred

• Experience in FinTech, trading, or investment-management platforms.
• Familiarity with profiling, observability and performance optimization tools.
• Advanced CS coursework or equivalent demonstrated technical depth.

• Base salary range: $140,000 – $160,000 per year.

Location & Work Arrangement

• Office-based in Columbus, OH. This is an on-site, full-time role (Monday–Friday) at the Columbus office.
