What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain real-time, mission-critical C++ software for advanced radar and missile-defense systems.
- Translate system and functional requirements into robust software architectures and modular designs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Object-Oriented C++ code following industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain automated tests and test frameworks to validate functionality and performance.
- Support system integration, debugging, sustainment, and fielding activities.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, systems engineering, and subsystems teams to deliver reliable solutions in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and use version control / lifecycle tools (Git, JIRA, Confluence).
- Produce technical documentation, design reviews, and test reports that support certification and sustainment.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience developing Object-Oriented C++ software.
- Hands-on experience working in a Linux development environment.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and test-driven approaches.
- Practical experience with source control and Agile development tooling (Git, JIRA, Confluence).
- Strong debugging, problem solving, and performance-analysis skills.
- Ability to work effectively in small multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance at the SECRET level.
Nice to Have
- Experience with real-time or embedded systems, deterministic scheduling, or hard/soft real-time constraints.
- Familiarity with multithreading, synchronization primitives, and performance optimization in C++.
- Prior exposure to defense, aerospace, radar, or missile-defense software projects.
- Knowledge of continuous integration (CI) pipelines and automated deployment tools.
- Experience with safety-critical development practices, configuration management, and systems engineering flows.
