What You’ll Do

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring Core Platform engineers to design, build, and operate the central services that power a modern manufacturing operating system. This role is located in San Francisco, CA.

• Own end-to-end design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of core platform services that must be performant, reliable, and scalable.
• Work closely with hardware, manufacturing, and product teams to deeply understand customer problems and ship production-ready solutions.
• Rapidly prototype, iterate, and deploy features while maintaining high engineering standards and observability.
• Influence platform architecture and technical direction to increase developer velocity and operational resilience.
• Contribute across one of the platform domains: Product OS, Supply Chain OS, Manufacturing OS, Planning OS, or Sales OS.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience building production-grade, scalable systems from problem discovery to reliable deployment.
• Strong programming ability in one or more of: Rust, Python, Java, TypeScript.
• Demonstrated ability to move quickly with urgency while maintaining code quality and reliability.
• Comfort working in cross-functional teams and learning domain knowledge in hardware and manufacturing.
• Clear communication skills and a bias for action.

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.js, Three.js
• Backend: Rust, Python (FastAPI, Flask)
• Data & Infra: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, AWS (RDS, S3, ECS, SQS) — including work on standard and government AWS environments
• Runtime & DevOps: Electron, Docker
