What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer to help build patient-focused mobile, web and desktop experiences that improve access and outcomes for people with chronic conditions. You’ll work across design, development, and operations to deliver high-quality features while protecting patient privacy and data security.

• Build and maintain mobile and web application features (primarily using Flutter/Dart and modern front-end tooling).
• Collaborate day-to-day with Product, Care, Enrollment and Data teams to translate clinical and operational needs into product features.
• Integrate with third-party APIs and internal services to ensure reliable data flow and seamless user experiences.
• Design and implement backend services using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to support new product functionality.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability to reduce feedback loops and increase release confidence.
• Use metric-driven engineering: define success metrics up front, instrument features, and iterate based on data.
• Balance speed and craftsmanship — decide when to move quickly and when to invest in long-term maintainability.
• Continuously improve internal developer tooling and documentation to make future development easier.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience building or contributing to production mobile or web applications.
• Familiarity with Flutter (or similar cross-platform frameworks) and modern app architectures.
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Comfortable using version control (Git) and modern CI/CD workflows to ship software.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across product and operations teams.
• A patient-first mindset: focus on usability, empathy, and delivering delightful user experiences.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud providers.
• Experience working on healthcare products or other regulated industries with privacy/security needs.
• Familiarity with analytics instrumentation, data-driven product decisions, and working with data engineers or analysts.
• Prior exposure to accessibility, HIPAA-awareness, or patient data protection practices.
• Early-career candidates are welcome — we’re looking for people eager to grow technically and impact patient outcomes.
