About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer — Cloud Computing to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable mobile and cloud software that supports modern payment, identity, and fraud-prevention use cases. This hands-on engineering role spends the majority of time coding and delivering mobile applications, SDKs, and platform features across Android and iOS while integrating cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools. The team embraces modern practices including test automation, release automation, mobile DevOps, and AI-assisted development workflows.


What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement mobile applications and SDKs for Android and/or iOS that integrate with cloud services and payment/identity platforms.
  • Spend ~60–75% of your time on hands-on development using modern languages, frameworks, and cloud tooling.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, release automation, signing, and app store deployment processes.
  • Develop comprehensive automated test strategies (unit, integration, UI) and improve test coverage.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, designers, QA, ops, and compliance to deliver secure, production-ready features.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, use monitoring/observability data to improve reliability, and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
  • Create and maintain developer-facing SDKs, reusable frameworks, and clear technical documentation.
  • Leverage automation and generative AI-assisted tools to boost engineering productivity and code quality.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements (one of the following):

  • 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree, OR
  • 2+ years with an advanced degree (Master’s, MBA, JD, MD), OR
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience.

Required skills and experience:

  • Proven experience developing and supporting native mobile applications (Android and/or iOS).
  • Experience building mobile SDKs, libraries, or platform components consumed by other teams/customers.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, release automation, app signing, and deployment to app stores.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and monitoring skills for mobile + cloud systems.
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals: design, code reviews, testing, and performance tuning.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

Preferred (nice-to-have):

  • Background in payments, fintech, digital identity, authentication, fraud prevention, or cybersecurity.
  • Experience with mobile DevOps practices and mobile platform engineering.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization, and serverless architectures.
  • Prior work using generative AI or AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering workflows.
