The Software Engineer at Confidential Client will develop and maintain custom-built options valuation and risk management systems, collaborating closely with traders, risk managers, and quantitative analysts. What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain production systems that support options valuation, pricing, and risk management for trading operations.
- Participate in full development lifecycle: gather requirements, design, implement, test, and deploy high-quality software.
- Work closely with traders, risk managers, and quantitative analysts to translate business needs and mathematical models into reliable code.
- Troubleshoot complex, time-sensitive production issues and implement robust fixes and improvements.
- Optimize and modernize existing systems for performance, scalability, and correctness.
- Document mathematical specifications, model assumptions, software requirements, and test cases.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong object-oriented programming experience in C#, Java, or C++; C# is preferred.
- Experience with data analysis tools and workflows (SQL, Pandas, Jupyter, or similar).
- Solid quantitative background and comfort with mathematics/statistics (probability, numerical methods, linear algebra; familiarity with stochastic calculus is a plus).
- Proven ability to communicate quantitative and technical decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-directed, organized, dependable, and collaborative in cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a focus on delivering well-tested, maintainable software.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $80,000–$120,000 per year (range provided is approximate and contingent on experience).
