What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an early-career Software Engineer (front-end focused) to join a fast-paced engineering team building modern web and mobile experiences. This is a hybrid, contract-to-hire role based in Charlotte, NC.

• Develop and maintain responsive front-end applications using React and TypeScript
• Contribute to mobile development efforts using React Native
• Build performant, accessible, and user-friendly UI components
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product owners, and designers across the SDLC
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and technical design discussions
• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate delivery and improve quality
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and implement feature enhancements
• Continue learning new tools, libraries, and best practices as the product evolves

Minimum Qualifications

• 1–3 years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and practical experience with React
• Familiarity with TypeScript and component-based front-end architecture
• Solid understanding of responsive design and front-end performance best practices
• Good problem-solving, debugging, and testing skills
• Self-motivated, able to learn quickly and work both independently and in a team
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or exposure to React Native and mobile app development (iOS/Android)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Prior work in Agile development environments

Compensation & Schedule

• Compensation: $35 - $42 per hour (depending on experience)
• Employment type: Contract (Contract-to-hire)
• Work model: Hybrid — typically three days onsite, two days remote
• Location: Charlotte, NC (must be able to work onsite per hybrid schedule)
