Role Overview

Careertakes is supporting a Confidential Client in the Financial Services industry to hire a Software Engineer for their Enterprise Risk & Audit team in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on designing, delivering, and supporting software solutions that help manage risk, audit, and compliance processes for the organization.


What You’ll Do

  • Deliver and maintain production software that supports Enterprise Risk, Audit, and compliance workflows
  • Translate business and risk requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with product, risk, and audit stakeholders
  • Participate across the full software development lifecycle: design, implement, test, deploy, and monitor
  • Troubleshoot production issues, write and maintain automated tests, and keep clear documentation
  • Follow secure-coding practices and support activities that enable regulatory and compliance requirements

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a software engineer or developer building production applications
  • Demonstrated ability to produce reliable, secure, and well-tested code
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred

Preferred

  • Experience working in financial services, risk, audit, or compliance-focused technology teams
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle best practices, automated testing, and CI/CD
  • Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders

Location & Work Authorization

  • This position is based in Charlotte, NC (on-site or client-determined hybrid). Candidates should be prepared to work in Charlotte as required by the client.
