Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer (Associate level) to join their Deposit Transactions team in Chandler, AZ. This full-time role focuses on supporting and enhancing deposit systems working in a mainframe environment and adjacent services. The team delivers stable, compliant solutions across deposit flows and related core systems.

What You’ll Do

• Participate in low- to moderately-complex initiatives, including installations, upgrades, and deployments.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document solutions for assigned projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality and availability.
• Analyze technical assignments and evaluate alternative designs or technologies.
• Present recommendations for resolving issues; escalate when required to meet SLAs.
• Work with internal partners, stakeholders, and technology colleagues to deliver business outcomes.
• Apply judgment within established guidelines while learning domain-specific security and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent via work experience, military service, training, or education).
• Demonstrated software development skills (design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation).
• Ability to work effectively on low-to-moderate risk deliverables and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Strong attention to compliance, risk, and operational discipline.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with mainframe/core technologies such as Cobol, VSAM, DB2, Assembler, MQ.
• Familiarity with deposit applications, flows, or related financial-services systems.
• Prior exposure to regulated production environments with emphasis on stability and compliance.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay range (visible in source posting): $37.02 - $63.94 per hour.
