Role overview

We are partnering with a confidential client seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to join an Edge Platform team building high-reliability, high-throughput systems. You’ll help design and build services that manage security certificates and configurations at global scale, optimize database usage, and ship resilient features used by other engineering teams.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement scalable backend services that handle tens of thousands of concurrent operations.
• Build efficient data models and queries for relational and NoSQL systems.
• Create new features from scratch and optimize existing functionality for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with QA/SQA and cross-functional teams to deploy and maintain production systems.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and operational runbooks.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent project experience).
• Academic or project experience with Java; familiarity with Python, C++, or Bash in Linux/Unix environments.
• Hands-on project experience with Spring and Spring Boot for backend development.
• Practical experience or coursework using Angular for UI work.
• Foundational knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, etc.) and NoSQL systems (Elasticsearch, Cassandra, etc.).

Nice-to-have

• Experience with large-scale / edge or cloud-distributed systems.
• Background in performance optimization, observability, or reliability engineering.
• Prior internship or project work in security-related tooling or certificate management.

Compensation & Benefits

• US base salary range (posted by our client): $75,700 - $136,300 per year. Final pay is determined by experience, skills, and location. The total compensation package may include bonuses, equity awards, and an employee stock purchase plan where eligible.
• Standard benefits include healthcare, retirement savings (401k), PTO, parental leave, and employee assistance programs. Specific benefits and eligibility vary by location.
