What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Software Engineers to join a fast-paced consulting team. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to help design, build, test, and support scalable software solutions for client projects across industries.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable, scalable software applications.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services; collaborate on client-facing components when needed.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and standards.
- Work with relational databases and write SQL queries to support application functionality.
- Use Git or other version-control systems to manage source code.
- Assist with deployments and application maintenance across development, test, and production environments.
- Follow Agile/Scrum practices: attend sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA for a paid training program and to travel or relocate to client sites across the United States as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 1–4 years of professional software development experience (internships, academic projects, or early-career roles qualify).
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, C++, Kotlin, or similar.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software development fundamentals.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and client-server architecture.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience or comfort with Git for source control.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively on teams.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to varying client environments.
Preferred Qualifications & Nice-to-Haves
- Internship or project experience in software development.
- Experience with frameworks and stacks such as Spring Boot, .NET, React, Angular, Django, or Flask.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps/CI-CD practices.
- Familiarity with automated testing, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Comfortable in Linux/Unix environments and Agile/Scrum workflows.
Compensation & Logistics
- Employment type: Full-time (W2).
- Pay range: $35.00–$40.00 per hour.
- Candidate must be open to relocate. Paid training will take place in Atlanta, GA; travel or relocation for client engagements across the U.S. may be required.
