Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an early-career Software Engineer to join an Intelligence / data team focused on building production data applications and pipelines. This role is suited for recent graduates, strong interns, or engineers with 0–2 years of professional experience who are eager to learn, ship product-quality code, and adopt AI-native development practices.

This is a full-time position based in California. The team builds on Palantir Foundry and integrates with construction and manufacturing systems, using Python-heavy tooling and automated testing at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Build applications, workflows, and data pipelines that make operational data accessible and actionable on Palantir Foundry.
  • Write, test, and maintain Python code to transform, clean, normalize, and connect data from systems such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, Revizto, Oracle Primavera Cloud, and Sage Intacct.
  • Integrate systems using APIs and common formats (JSON, CSV, XML), automating end-to-end processes.
  • Take well-scoped work from Forward Deployed Engineers and deliver to a clear “definition of done,” while asking the questions that improve future scope.
  • Contribute to a shared ontology (objects, relationships, standards) so knowledge compounds across projects.
  • Document code, workflows, and release notes so teammates and field users can adopt your work.
  • Support release cycles, gather feedback from beta testers, and iterate on production deployments.

We’re Looking For

  • 0–2 years of professional coding experience (internships and substantial personal projects count).
  • Strong Python experience for data transformation and cleaning (pandas, PySpark, NumPy).
  • Working familiarity with APIs and data formats (JSON, CSV, XML) and experience consuming programmatic APIs.
  • Comfortable with version control (Git) and reading and debugging code written by others.
  • Demonstrated AI-native working habits — you use AI tools to draft, test, and refactor code and can critically evaluate and verify outputs.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Genuine interest in construction, manufacturing, or built-environment workflows — or a clear willingness to learn how operating businesses use data.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience or curiosity working on Palantir Foundry (workflow/pipeline development).
  • Familiarity with integration to construction/manufacturing systems (Autodesk, Revit, Oracle Primavera, Sage).
  • Exposure to test generation or validation using AI-assisted tools.

Location & Employment Type

  • Employment type: FULL_TIME
  • Work location: California (onsite / hybrid arrangements depend on client policy)

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

Why Apply through Careertakes

  • Third-party platform matching you with Confidential Client while giving visibility to other matched roles.
  • Opportunity to join an AI-native engineering team with structured mentorship and a clear career path.
  • Early-career focus with real ownership of production systems and direct exposure to cross-functional problems.
