What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an early-career Software Engineer to contribute to a core 3D geometric modeling product used across engineering and CAD applications. You will work on the modeling kernel and related libraries to improve algorithms and developer-facing SDKs.
- Design, implement, and maintain high-quality C++ code for geometric modeling and mesh processing.
- Improve algorithms for operations such as feature recognition, surface and volume meshing, polyhedral modeling and CAD data preparation.
- Diagnose and fix edge cases in computational geometry routines (robustness, correctness, numerical stability).
- Write unit tests, integration tests and participate in debugging and validation workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global engineering groups through code reviews, design discussions, and shared releases.
- Optimize performance and memory usage for large-scale 3D models and workflows.
- Contribute to documentation, SDK samples, and developer support materials.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1+ years of relevant programming experience, or advanced degree (M.S./Ph.D.) in a mathematically demanding STEM field.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented design.
- Experience with testing and debugging complex codebases.
- Familiarity with other modern languages (C#, Python) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to reason about geometry, meshes, and numerical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical ideas clearly.
- Comfortable working in collaborative environments (code reviews, design reviews, paired troubleshooting).
Compensation & Benefits

- Salary range (base + target bonus): $110,000 – $135,000 per year.
