The Software Engineer II at Confidential Client is responsible for independently designing, building, and delivering scalable and reliable software features for the company's Top Level Domain Registry Platform. What You’ll Do
As a Software Engineer on this team you'll design, build, test, and operate production features for a Top Level Domain (TLD) registry platform. Working with a cross-functional engineering group, you'll convert complex technical problems into reliable, scalable solutions.
- Design and implement backend services using C#, .NET, and Python within a microservices architecture
- Build and maintain AWS-based systems (Aurora PostgreSQL, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Glue, Step Functions, Flink, Paimon)
- Own features end-to-end — design, development, testing, and production deployment
- Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for consistent, reliable releases
- Write unit and integration tests; ensure system reliability and observability
- Use modern AI-assisted developer tools to increase productivity while maintaining quality
- Collaborate with engineers across time zones to deliver customer-focused solutions
Who You Are / What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong computer science fundamentals and object-oriented design (C# .NET, Java, or similar)
- Proficient with SQL and relational data modeling
- Practical experience with AWS services and microservice patterns
- Skilled at troubleshooting complex technical issues and making pragmatic technical decisions
- Self-directed, strong communicator, and comfortable working in a global organization
- Reliable transportation to the workplace (role is hybrid in Bellevue)
- Willingness to relocate is acceptable, but relocation assistance is not provided
Location & Work Setup

Salary & Benefits
- U.S. base salary range: $107,000 - $139,000 per year (actual pay determined by experience, internal equity, and location)
- Eligible for discretionary and/or nondiscretionary bonuses and long-term incentive plan
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance with company contributions to Health Savings Accounts
- Company-paid life and disability insurance; optional supplemental coverage
- 401(k) plan with up to a 5% match
- 15 days paid vacation per year (increases to 20 days after one year), 5 days paid sick leave, 13 paid holidays
- Paid parental leave: up to 20 weeks for birthing parents; 12 weeks for others
- Tuition reimbursement for qualifying expenses

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
