Overview
Careertakes is assisting a Confidential Client in the Software & Technology industry to find an Entry‑level Software Engineer — Backend. This is a full‑time role focused on server‑side development and building reliable, scalable backend systems.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for production systems
- Implement server‑side features with a focus on performance, reliability, and security
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and QA teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and iterative design
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues; contribute to monitoring and observability improvements
Qualifications (Minimum)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Practical experience writing server‑side code (internships, projects, coursework)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern backend architectures
- Working knowledge of databases (relational or NoSQL) and data modeling
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively on cross‑functional teams
- Good communication skills and a desire to learn and grow in a technical role
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with cloud platforms or containerized deployments
