Overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is looking for an experienced backend software engineer to join a small, fast-moving cybersecurity team building agentless AI solutions that address insider risk. This full-time, hybrid role is based in San Francisco, CA (expect ~3 days in-office). Compensation: $140,000–$180,000 base + competitive equity. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship integrations and custom detections using Go, Python, and TypeScript
• Collaborate directly with customer security teams during onboarding to understand real-world needs
• Rapidly translate customer feedback into product improvements and detection logic
• Take ownership of backend components and ship production-quality features alongside the founders and engineering team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset
