What You’ll Do
The Associate Software Engineer will design, implement, and test embedded software used in real‑time control systems for a Confidential Client in the Health, Wellness & Fitness industry. You will work with cross‑functional teams to develop hardware‑software interfaces, validate system performance, and help maintain high reliability and security standards in mission‑critical environments.
- Support all phases of the software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, and documentation
- Develop and execute test procedures and experiments to verify system behavior
- Use modeling and debugging tools to diagnose and fix defects
- Participate in design and code reviews; contribute to standards and best practices
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, QA, and systems engineering teams to deliver product features
- Work across Windows, Linux, and embedded platforms to integrate software and ensure robust operation
Qualifications
- Entry-level — pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience (academic or internship) with one or more programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, or Python
- Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- Basic understanding of hardware‑software interfacing and debugging techniques
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality in safety/mission‑critical contexts
- Good written and verbal communication skills; able to work effectively in cross‑disciplinary teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience with embedded development toolchains (compilers, linkers, debuggers)
- Knowledge of software security best practices for embedded systems
- Exposure to Linux system programming and drivers
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration
- Prior work on real‑time control, firmware, or medical/health‑adjacent devices is a plus
