What You’ll Do

This role works on software verification and test automation for spacecraft docking and guidance software. Responsibilities include:

  • Review and analyze requirements and their success criteria.
  • Design and implement test cases and test scripts in Python to verify success criteria.
  • Develop Python-based test frameworks and follow them through final qualification reviews.
  • Execute regression verification over existing GNCP tests, identify failures, diagnose issues, and implement corrections.
  • Operate and run software and hardware integration testbeds.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, mode teams, principal engineers, and external partners to resolve issues and meet schedule commitments.
  • Produce clear test reports, defect write-ups, and verification documentation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • U.S. citizenship (facility security requirements).
  • Minimum 2 years of software verification or test engineering experience.
  • Strong Python programming skills for writing test scripts and automation.
  • Experience with DOORS (requirements management).
  • Experience with hardware/software integration and running testbeds.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Information Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and on teams.

Preferred / Helpful Experience

  • Experience with GNCP / RPOD or spacecraft docking software verification.
  • Prior work on guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) verification.
  • Experience creating qualification-level test plans and executing final qualification reviews.
  • Familiarity with regression test frameworks and continuous verification practices.

Location & Eligibility

This position is located in Arvada, CO. The client prefers candidates in the Denver metropolitan area but may consider remote candidates in the U.S. depending on program needs. Due to facility and program security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration.
