Role Overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking a Software Engineer (Apps) - level 3 to design, build, test, and enhance enterprise-grade software that supports semiconductor equipment and processes. You will work in agile teams to deliver features that enable data-driven decision making, streamline workflows, and improve product performance.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze, design, implement, test, debug, and maintain software applications used across engineering and manufacturing workflows
- Deliver high-quality, production-ready code following agile practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware engineers, data scientists, QA) to translate requirements into reliable software solutions
- Optimize application performance and reliability for large-scale data and real-time systems
- Participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, and documentation to ensure maintainability and compliance
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
What We’re Looking For
- Strong software development experience with enterprise applications (backend, frontend, or full-stack)
- Solid skills in programming, debugging, and test-driven development
- Experience working in agile teams and delivering iterative value
- Ability to understand hardware/process constraints and build solutions that integrate with equipment and data pipelines
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven track record of delivering production software in a professional environment
- Experience with common development tools and workflows (version control, build systems, CI/CD)
- Familiarity with debugging, profiling, and performance analysis techniques
Preferred / Nice-to-have
- Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, or instrument control software
- Knowledge of data-driven application design, telemetry, and analytics platforms
- Familiarity with cloud services, containers, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with backend languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Go) and modern front-end frameworks
