Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to join an IT team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This is a full-time role that supports security‑cleared work; applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze user requirements and translate them into software solutions
• Debug and troubleshoot application issues across backend and frontend components
• Integrate existing software into new or updated systems and services
• Write, review, and maintain unit and integration tests
• Use source control (Git) and package management (npm/Node) in daily workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teammates and follow secure development practices

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Must hold or be eligible for TS/SCI with Polygraph (required for the role)
• Authorization to work in the United States

Technical Skills

• JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Node Package Manager (npm) and Node.js fundamentals
• Experience with at least one backend language (Java or Python)
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and test-driven development
• Git (version control) experience

---

Desired / Nice-to-Have

• Jest or other JavaScript testing experience
• IDE proficiency (e.g., IntelliJ, VS Code)
• Experience with frameworks like Spring Boot or Django
• Knowledge of virtualization environments and streaming frameworks
• Any prior experience working on security‑cleared projects (plus)
