About the Role
The confidential client is hiring an entry-level Software Engineer, Analytics Infrastructure to join their Business Intelligence team in Milwaukee, WI. You will own components of a compensation benchmarking platform built on Tableau and Snowflake running in Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role combines cloud platform operations, infrastructure-as-code, data quality engineering, and user-facing support ā offering broad ownership, visibility, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure-as-code configurations and deployment automation on AWS (IaC, CI/CD).
- Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and Snowflake-based data pipelines in production.
- Develop automated validation, monitoring, and observability for data pipelines to enforce data quality.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, runbooks, and team engineering standards.
- Support platform users: troubleshooting, technical guidance, and training for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure reliability, performance, and security of cloud platform operations and optimizations on AWS.
- Maintain network and systems infrastructure for the Milwaukee office and remote work environments.
- Document system architecture, data models, and operational runbooks for the Business Intelligence team.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Production experience with Tableau and Snowflake (or an equivalent analytics stack).
- Practical experience or familiarity with AWS services and cloud operations.
- Demonstrated curiosity and evidence of self-directed technical learning.
- Strong attention to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer.
- Proven ability to take ownership of technical systems and follow through independently.
Preferred
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and columnar storage platforms.
- Interest or experience in data quality, data contracts, or observability engineering.
- Prior involvement in technology selection or architectural decision-making.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.

Interview Process
