What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain features across a SaaS platform using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, TypeScript, Angular, and MySQL for a confidential client focused on supply chain software.
- Turn customer and business problems into reliable, maintainable production software.
- Design services, APIs, workflows, data models, and user interfaces that fit the product architecture.
- Write automated tests to protect behavior and catch real bugs.
- Investigate defects and performance issues by reproducing problems, reading logs/traces, testing assumptions, and fixing root causes.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA, professional services, customer success, and engineers on adjacent teams.
- Document design decisions, operational considerations, and support/maintenance needs for your work.
- Improve the codebase and development process when you observe recurring friction, quality gaps, or technical debt.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools responsibly as part of your workflow and validate generated code for correctness and security.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience building software as part of a collaborative engineering team, with an understanding of production reliability and lifecycle ownership.
- Hands-on experience with Java and object-oriented design; Spring Boot and Hibernate experience is important.
- Experience building web applications or APIs with TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as Angular (or React).
- Experience with MySQL or another relational database: queries, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- A habit of writing automated tests and using code review to improve quality.
- The ability to analyze a problem before coding: ask focused questions, make sound decisions, and raise risks early.
- Clear written and verbal communication, able to explain technical choices to engineers and product partners.
- Ownership of your work after it merges — you care how it behaves in staging and production.
- Curiosity about supply chain and fulfillment software; prior domain experience is helpful but not required.
- Thoughtful, safe use of AI across design, implementation, debugging, testing, and documentation.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud services, especially AWS.
- Experience with integrations, messaging, distributed systems, reporting, analytics, or high-volume data processing.
- Experience with enterprise systems such as ecommerce, ERP, shipping, or material-handling systems.
- Prior experience with supply chain domains: warehouse management, order management, inventory, or demand planning.
