What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is looking for engineers who will help design, develop, test, and maintain software for mission-driven systems in technically demanding environments. This role emphasizes reliable, secure, and well-documented engineering across the full lifecycle.

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using Python, C/C++, Rust, and/or Go
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues in development and test environments
• Produce and maintain application documentation and technical specifications
• Work with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing
• Continuously learn and apply new tools and practices to improve product quality and delivery

What We’re Looking For

We seek motivated engineers with strong practical software skills and a willingness to learn domain- and mission-specific requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in at least one of: Python, C/C++, Rust, or Go
• Familiarity with Git and modern version control workflows
• Experience or interest in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work collaboratively in teams
• Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn new technologies
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (required)

Location & Clearance

This position is located in Alexandria, VA. Candidates must be able to work on-site as required by contract and must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is typically required for clearance sponsorship; please confirm eligibility before applying.
