About the Role
Our confidential client — a fast-growing team in Software Development — is hiring a Software Engineer, AI to design, build, and deploy advanced AI-driven systems that accelerate software engineering productivity. You will work at the intersection of research and product engineering, turning ML/LLM innovations into reliable, scalable features used by enterprise engineering teams.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven, agentic systems that expand the platform’s core capabilities
- Integrate emerging AI research into customer-facing solutions in partnership with product and engineering teams
- Rapidly prototype, iterate, and refine AI features based on real-world feedback and telemetry
- Identify and address stability, scalability, and reliability challenges for large-scale AI infrastructure
- Lead work on large-scale data processing to improve model performance and system reliability
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering (post-Bachelor’s) or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with LLMs and applying ML techniques to complex, unstructured problems
- Proven ability to drive ambiguous research projects from concept to production deployment
- Strong communication skills; able to present technical ideas and trade-offs clearly to engineers and stakeholders
- Experience with data-intensive applications and familiarity with the software development lifecycle is a plus
Work Location & Schedule
This is an in-office position in San Francisco, CA. The role expects on-site presence 5 days per week (walking distance to Caltrain).
