What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support scientific research and business operations.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and product teams to deliver practical solutions to real-world challenges.
• Help adopt and integrate AI-enabled development tools and explore emerging technologies that add business value.
• Work with cloud platforms, web frameworks, and data platforms (examples: AWS, Azure, Databricks).
• Contribute to front-end and back-end codebases using technologies such as React, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, debugging, and continuous-improvement practices.
• Document technical designs and share knowledge within Agile product teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of software development fundamentals: programming, testing, debugging, and version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Curiosity and a demonstrated desire to learn new tools and approaches.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship, co-op, research project, open-source, or personal project experience in software development.
• Exposure to one or more of: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, AWS, Azure, Databricks, GitHub, Power Platform, or SharePoint.
• Interest in AI, data analytics, cloud computing, or scientific computing.
• Background or interest in life sciences, bioinformatics, computational chemistry, or related scientific disciplines.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices.

Technical Skills

• Agile methodology and SDLC best practices
• Cloud computing (AWS/Azure) fundamentals
• Python and JavaScript/TypeScript development
• Front-end frameworks (React)
• Version control with Git/GitHub
• Data platforms (Databricks) and basic data engineering concepts
• Basic knowledge of Power Platform/SharePoint (a plus)

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range (good-faith estimate): $87,300 — $137,400 per year.
• Eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive (if applicable).
• Benefits (examples): medical, dental, vision, retirement (401k), paid holidays, vacation, sick and compassionate leave.
• This salary range is provided in good faith and actual pay will be based on experience, skills, location, and other lawful factors.
