Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer — Advanced Reporting to join an Analytics & Reporting team in Boston, MA (onsite, typically 5x/week). This full‑time engineering role is focused on building enterprise-grade, AI-enabled reporting and analytics features that help sophisticated customers understand, act on, and operationalize data inside a marketing analytics platform.

• Base salary range for U.S. locations: $116,000—$174,000 USD (final offer varies by experience, skills, and location)
• This position may require up to 10% travel for onboarding, teammates, or industry events.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver advanced reporting and analytics features that increase adoption and retention.
• Build end-to-end experiences that close the loop from insight to action (e.g., create segments, campaigns, or triggers directly from reporting surfaces).
• Work full‑stack across data access/storage layers and front-end visualization to present complex datasets intuitively.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and partner engineering teams to shape product roadmap and technical direction.
• Contribute to technical strategy for accessing, aggregating, and presenting data at scale.
• Help expand the team’s scope into enterprise portfolio analytics, AI-assisted exploration, and integrations.

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in a full‑stack capacity.
• Proficient in at least one modern language; strong Python experience preferred. TypeScript + React experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working with data at scale and solving difficult engineering challenges related to performance, reliability, and customization.
• Strong communicator who partners effectively with product, design, and data stakeholders.
• Demonstrates continuous learning and adapts well in high-growth environments.
• Excited about the intersection of data visualization, analytics, and AI.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary (U.S. target range): $116,000—$174,000 USD
• Total compensation may include cash bonus, equity, sign-on payment (where applicable), and comprehensive health and welfare benefits based on eligibility.
• Final base pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, education or training, and work location.
