Position Overview
Confidential Client (IT Services and IT Consulting) is seeking a Software Engineer 3 for a contingent W2 engagement in Charlotte, NC (hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote). This is a 12+ month contract. Pay rate: $55 to $60 per hour (W2). Job ID: 178689.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications that meet business requirements and performance goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, operations) to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following engineering best practices and secure-coding guidelines.
- Debug, triage, and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in and conduct code reviews to maintain quality and share knowledge.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in one or more of: Java, Python, C++, or similar languages.
- Experience with modern development frameworks, build tools, version control (Git), and unit/integration testing.
- Solid problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Ab Initio or other ETL/data-integration tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience working in agile/scrum teams and using observability tools for production systems.
